MISSION: To resolve several areas of dysfunction in this home’s main bathroom, including a broken vanity cabinet and a tub with a hole in it that never got used anyway.

SOLUTIONS: Replace the tub with a dreamy tile and glass shower surround; add a kitchen-depth vanity and mirrored medicine cabinet to maximize storage; preserve the wood closet door and enhance the space with other wood features such as floating shelves and wall cladding for the plumbing chase; reverse the door swing to improve floor space flow; and accent with black and brass fixtures.
